My families new found love of labeling!

Who knew labels could be so exciting?  When Mabel's Labels offered me the opportunity to review and try out  their Ultimate Back-to-School Combo pack and Bag Tags, I had no idea the pandemonium that was about to descend upon my house.  I ordered the labels for my 1st grader, Joey.  I honestly thought that our 4th grader might me to "old" for labeling everything and since our youngest is still in preschool I figured there was plenty of time to worry about labeling everything.

Sunday, September 5 - Baby Boogie

Let the Babies Boogie!
It is Sunday afternoon and the kids are restless. What do you do? We know a place, the perfect location, in Old Town Arvada on Grandview Avenue called the D Note. Every Sunday the kids, from 1 month to 12 years old, come and enjoy music, both by listening to it, playing it and dancing to it. Parents relax at their tables, watching the kids dance and play together - great entertainment in and of itself. The children make new friends and greet some old ones. Some even make this a weekly gathering spot.

For example, you could take a picture of a part of a flower, or half of your big toe or the inside of a hat. You might just want to take a picture of a color, or a shape or a texture. Maybe you can jump while taking a picture. At the end, we'll guess what the images are of. Surprise!

Saturday, September 11 - Dinosaur Discovery Day at Dinosaur Ridge: Reading

Join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and the Jefferson County Public Library for Reading Day. The library will display some of their newest dinosaur books and present story time for the younger visitors. The Friends will have a used dinosaur and geology book sale. Activities such as gold panning, fossil sifting, dinosaur track painting, story time, puppet shows and a scavenger hunt! Sign up for door prizes such as a family four pass to the Morrison Museum, a family four pass to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, dinosaur books, dinosaur bookends, and other cool stuff. On the Ridge: Guides will be stationed along the trail to explain the geology and fossils.
