Notes From Your Publisher

One of my goals this year was to get organized.  I haven't done very well in many areas of my life with organization, except with the newsletter.  As a result, this weeks newsletter is early!  What were your resolutions or goals for 2012?  Have you stuck to them or have they fallen by the wayside?

I hope you all have a wonderful week!  As always thank you so much for being a part of our Macaroni Kid family!!

Homemade Valentines

This year I am determined to have my kids make their own Valentines.  Every year I say we are going to do this, and every year we are those people standing in the Valentine aisle at the grocery store picking through the left over boxes of valentines.  Well not this year.  This year, thanks to my Pinterest addiction, I have been inspired.  There are so many wonderful ideas out there that I just couldn't miss out on the fun this year.  Here are some of my favorites that we ...

What you will need to make around two 2.5 - 3 inch biscuits:

3/4 cup of birdseed
1 tablespoon flour
Water
Cookie cutter

Popcorn Balls

The world's largest popcorn ball was unveiled in October 2006 in Lake Forest, IL. It weighed 3,415 pounds, measured 8 feet in diameter, and had a circumference of 24.6 feet!

Who doesn't like popcorn? Usually served salted or sweetened, with butter or without, sporting events or movies, popcorn is one of America's favorite snacks!

Our favorite here at Macaroni Kid is the Popcorn Ball! Popcorn balls are a delicious snack that are fun to not only eat but to make with your little ones!

I Swore It Wouldn't Happen

Well it has happened.  I always swore I would never let it.  I promised myself it wouldn't happen to me, but three kids later it has. I have gotten fat. My stretchy jeans are no longer stretchy, in fact they are down right uncomfortable.   I know it isn't fair to blame my kids, but really, it is there fault.  It wasn't my pregnancies that did it. It was the birthday parties, lacrosse games, homework, the petty arguments, the long days and even longer nights.  Those all made ...
